Of course, you’re probably going fishing this weekend, but now you can go even smarter. After some nosing around, I found some answers to questions you might not have even thought to ask. I would have exposed the real hot fishing scoop, but nobody seemed to know exactly where and when they would be biting. So here’s what I do have:

Did you know? Nitro Boats, by way of Johnny Morris and Bass Pro Shops, is the official boat of the televised Major League Fishing series? In fact, the 25 contestants at the Lake Amistad opener were all running Nitro Z 7’s (just like me).

Did you know? If you hunt around the popular mail order sites right now, you can find a Skeet Reese Victory baitcasting reel for 20 to 30 bucks less than when it was introduced. (And did you know, these are not Memorial edition reels, Reese is actually still alive)?

Did you know? Black bass continue to be the most sought-after freshwater fish in the U.S.  AnglerSurvey.com reported in their survey results from October, that surveyed anglers fished for bass more than 73 percent of the time–almost 40 percent more than any other species group.

Did you know? That despite the fact a story in Western Outdoor News reported Bill Egan, WON Bass director, was to appear in a Nevada courtroom today (Dec. 16) regarding the Mike Hart/U.S. Open fraud case–that did not happen

Did you know? Lowrance Electronics is offering up to a $200 rebate on purchases of their HD Series sonar/plotters. The attendant paperwork needs to be postmarked no later than March 12, 2012, and must be received at Lowrance by March 29, 2012 to get the factory cash back. (I know cuz I’m gettin’ one).
