What the heck happened

MIKE FOLKESTAD

Hard to argue. No one has had a longer or more productive tournament career in the West than Mike Folkestad. So why not see some more history made Thursday evening at the Fred Hall Fishing and Boat Show and witness the Californian’s induction ceremony into the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame?

It will take place at 7 p.m. at the Anglers Marine “booth” (more like a shopping center). The Fred Hall Show, known for it’s own iconic history and as the largest such show in these parts, was chosen as the site for this brief, but important event.

It will be my privilege to make the presentation on behalf of the FWHOF, and I know Mike will be pleased to see you there. (Maybe you could snap a photo or two as well).

And for the record, I will also be there throughout the day. I’m actually going to be manning the Lake Elsinore booth in the show the same day–hey, it’s a natural.

I would love to be there but I have to work. I won’t be at Fred Hall until Saturday. But congratulations, Mike! I’m sure that receiving this honor from George will make the ceremony even more meaningful. A legend honoring a legend!

Mike truly deserves this honor. He has been one of the top fishermen in the west for a long, long time and STILL is!!

way to go Mike. He has stuck it out and came out on top for a long time. Very well deserved and earned.
